How is the matric percentage calculated?
Divide your obtained marks by your board's total and multiply by 100:
Matric % = (Obtained marks ÷ 1100) × 100
Worked example
- 965 out of 1100 → (965 ÷ 1100) × 100 = 87.73% (A+)
- 880 out of 1100 → 80.00% (A+)
Matric marks carry 10% weight in the MDCAT/NUMS aggregate — use our merit calculators after this.
