How is the MDCAT aggregate calculated?
The official formula gives 50% to FSc and 50% to the MDCAT:
Aggregate % = (FSc marks ÷ 1200) × 50 + (MDCAT score ÷ 180) × 50
Worked example
- FSc: 1056/1200 → (1056 ÷ 1200) × 50 = 44.00
- MDCAT: 144/180 → (144 ÷ 180) × 50 = 40.00
- Total aggregate = 84.00%
FMDC/SZABMU formula differs from the general PMDC formula: no matric weight.
Weightage table (2026)
| Component | Weight | Total marks |
|---|---|---|
| FSc / Intermediate | 50% | 1200 |
| MDCAT | 50% | 180 |
